I totally agree that all education personnel should have a basic knowledge of technology. Children are very smart, and many of them have a significant amount of experience when it comes to technology. It should be embarrassing for a student to have to tell the teacher how to work a computer. I'm not saying that teachers can't learn from students because I think it's a great thing for students and teachers to learn from each other. The student should not have to hold the teacher's hand every time the teacher gets ready to use a technological device. That's ridiculous. Besides, technology has so much to offer when it comes to education. Every educator should want to be technologically literate.
